The Advanced
Course – International Wines is a standardised qualification in the area of
“global wines“. It covers the most important wine regions of the world as well
as all wine styles including sparkling and fortified wines. Students are taught
to critically understand and evaluate international wines. It has been designed
as a residential course in the heart of the Rheingau wine region open to allow
educational tastings and visits to wineries.
Successful graduates
of this course (incl. the WSET Level 3 exam) may then continue with the WSET
Level 4 Diploma in Wines - Central Europe, WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines
- International or WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines -
Rheingau/Burgenland/Alto Adige/Zurich, which concludes with an
international trade qualification known in Austria and associated centres as
“Weinakademiker“.
